[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text line_height=”24″]Guys I never thought I would see the day but I got the shock of my life…Deadly Premonition 2<\/em> is happening and SOON! I can’t stop smiling!<\/p>\n

During today’s Nintendo Direct<\/a> we not only learned that Deadly Premonition<\/em> is now available on switch as Deadly Premonition: Origins<\/em> but that a sequel, Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise<\/em> is also in the works.<\/p>\n

Deadly Premonition: Origins<\/em> is currently on sale on Nintendo’s e-shop for $29.99<\/a> and appears to be a new port of the Director’s Cut<\/em>. Fingers crossed it’s actually stable guys… I’m currently downloading the game onto my Switch now and will let you all know how it handles \ud83d\ude42 A physical release of the game will come later this November from Aksys Games<\/a>. No word yet on the price but that new cover art looks pretty awesome!<\/p>\n

I hate to say this but the Switch Port has some issues…hold off purchasing a digital copy until the patch is available!<\/p>\n

I\u2019m super disappointed so far just playing through Chapter 00-01 since the game audio comes and goes randomly. The entire cutscene with Emily and George was silent for me, then later when York left the hotel there was no music or voice acting just movement sounds. I restarted the game which fixed the missing cutscene sound but when I got into the car and the sirens wouldn\u2019t make a noise.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also weird shadow problems too\u2026York looked demonic in the introduction cut scene I couldn\u2019t hear with Emily and George\u2026and the patrol car is way too dark compared to the environment.<\/p>\n

Another annoying issue is with the controls\u2026 even if you remap buttons it\u2019s not reflected through out the game. I switched the A and B buttons and I noticed that when I talked to Polly it switched back to the default when the buy menu came up. \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n

Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise<\/em> shares a similar cell-shaded look of D4. What’s really awesome is that it looks like<\/a> it’s a team effort between Rising Star Games, White Owls, and Toybox Inc! The old crew is back together \ud83d\ude00 I’m very excited that Swery is co-writing again with Kenji Goda!<\/p>\n

The game is going to be set in 2005 during one of York’s old cases in Le Carr\u00e9, a small town in New Orleans but will also be set in the future as well with a new FBI Agent, Aaliyah Davis. I wonder if this case has anything to do with the one mentioned at the end of the Director’s Cut.?<\/p>\n
