NIS America and Rising Star Games’ Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut – Classified Edition is finally out! Hurray 🙂
I received my own pre-order today and I got to say it looks fantastic in person! I especially love the use of Semsei’s beautiful artwork on the collector box. It’s been one of my favorite pieces of fanart by the community and I always thought it would make a kickass game cover. I’m glad its become a reality with this collector’s edition!
Another highlight of the collection is definitely the 30+ page artbook. It contains a lot of cool new renders as well as concept art for all the characters you meet in the game. It also includes in-depth bios and Greenvale map provided written and drawn by yours truly. (Man it is so weird to see some of my site’s content in print!)
The playing cards are a nifty addition as well. I love the drawn York, Emily, and the Raincoat Killer portraits on the King, Queen, and Jack cards (though I am surprised they didn’t choose to use George “the Monarch” Woodman as King lol)
The 25 track soundrack that’s included isn’t really anything new if you already own the Digital Soundtrack DLC from Steam but it is still it is nice to have an official physical release!
The PS3 game is the same one released in 2013 but it includes voucher for all the available DLC on PSN (including avatars!)
So even if you already own Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut I say the Classified Edition is still worth a purchase if only for the cool collector items and the DLC voucher alone.
US fans can order a copy directly on NIS America’s store here for $49.99 while those in Europe can swing on by the Europe NISA Store to pre-order a copy for £39.99 (releases December 1)
I don’t find the DLC voucher…
Sorry I didn’t see you comment from so long ago. My voucher was inside my PS3 game case with the instruction manual.
