York finds himself back in the Red Room with the Twin Angels, Anna…and Becky?
What’s she doing in here?!
Unfortunately Becky only repeats her name over and over again ignoring York’s inquires.
Anna pours York a cup of coffee and the Angels implore York to take a sip. Once the agent complies the doors open and the Twins, Anna, and Becky disappear.
Pick up the [Lollipop] and the [Chocolate Chip Cookie] from the now empty ornate chairs then head through the open door straight ahead.
The young boy who showed York how to safely sneak by the Shadows stands alone inside a white room and York finally recognizes that this boy is his younger self after “something” happened.
Pretty intriguing, I wonder why York didn’t recognize himself before now?

York is ready to start another day but thanks to his dreams he can’t help feeling that that this case is related to him and Zach somehow.
Change suits to earn a “Trendy Clothes Bonus” then head into the bathroom and shave for another monetary bonus.
Upon leaving his hotel room York meets a jolly Forrest Kaysen, a traveling sapling salesman, and his Dalmatian, Willie!
Polly must be pleased that there’s finally another guest staying at the Great Deer Yard Hotel!
Kaysen takes an immediate liking to York, which is honestly surprising given York’s track record in alienating people thus far, and presents York with one of his sapling samples as a gift.
Once Kaysen leaves to continue his stroll around the hotel York realizes his new acquaintance shares the same initials of the coffee warning from earlier in the game.
Hmm that’s not good… we better keep a close eye on him!
Head over to the lobby then speak with Polly in the reception area to start Side Mission #31.
Polly has a precious piece of “memorabilia” somewhere in the hotel. Find it and give it to her. Not to be rude, but memory deteriorates with age. You might want to check her room…
Speak with Polly one more time for another $18 “Info Gathering Bonus” then head directly over to her bedroom at the back of the hotel and grab the [Picture of a Beautiful Lady] inside.
Leave Polly’s room and swing by small Greenhouse Conservatory and pick up [Trading Card No. 63 (Kaysen’s Seeding)].
Return to the hotel lobby and enter the dining area to begin another cutscene with Polly and learn a little more about Kaysen. York has a feeling the man is hiding something.
Head over to the coffee machine to grab a fortune or two from your coffee and grab an “Extra for Fortunetelling” bonus.
Speak to Polly back in the reception area and show her the [Picture of a Beautiful Lady] found inside her room. A delighted Polly will then hand over [Trading Card No. 60 (Polly’s Pepper)].
Check the TV in the lobby for an “Extra for Checking Weather” bonus then leave the hotel via the lobby doors and meet with George and Emily in the parking lot.
It appears Diane returned to late Greenvale last night and George suggests that they should go give her a visit.

Enter the car then drive towards the Milk Barn instead of Muses Gallery and listen to George and Emily’s conversation. Wait in the Milk Barn parking lot until the conversation concludes then leave the car and tell Emily and George that York will go off on his own.
Speak with Lilly inside the Milk Barn and a buy [Suit “Cherryblossom”] from her then speak with her once more to begin her last Side Mission!
Lilly has given you more part-time work tidying up the Milk Barn’s storeroom by pushing boxes around. Didn’t you take care of this just a short while ago? What are they doing in there?
Lilly offers York additional part-time work tidying up the Milk Barn’s stock room. Honestly, they can’t even be trying to keep it tidy in there!
Solution
1 ) Move Box #2 to the right 1 square
2 ) Move Box #1 down 1 square
3 ) Move box #3 up 1 square
4 ) Move Box #2 to the left 1 square
5 ) Move Box #3 down 2 squares
6 ) Move Box #2 up 2 squares and then about 6 squares to the left into the top yellow box
7 ) Move Box #3 up 3 squares into top right yellow square
8 ) Move Box #1 down 1 square, then to the right 2 squares and finally up 1 square into the yellow box in the middle.
Once the stock room has been tidied Lilly rewards York with the [Key to the Closet] that will unlock a closet in the Ingram’s garage containing an item Keith treasures second only to his family.
Lilly really wants York to have this treasured item as payment for all his help I just hope Keith doesn’t mind York accepting it…
With this key in hand a new Side Mission automatically begins:
Use the [Key for Closet] obtained from Lilly for your hard work to open the closet in Keith’s garage. He should be home in the afternoons on rainy days.
York doesn’t actually have to wait for a rainy day to open the closet despite what the Mission Objective claims since the Ingram’s garage is open 24/7 in any weather condition.
Speak to Keith at the register for an $18 “Info Gathering Bonus” then buy the [Suit DEEPBLUE] from him.

A & G Diner
Leave the Milk Barn then use the radio to warp to the A & G Diner and speak to Michael and Mr. Stewart inside for $36 in “Info Gathering” bonuses then return to the parking lot and approach Kaysen to start a new Side Mission.
(APPROACH KAYSEN ONLY IF YOU HAVE ALL SEVEN BONES IN YOUR POSSESSION!).
Willie has nabbed a [Bone] uncovered in the course of the investigation. It could be important evidence. Get the [Bone] back from Willie’s kennel in the back of Kaysen’s car.
This mission is pretty straight forward. Once the bones are stolen locate Kaysen’s car in the A & G Diner parking lot and search Willie’s doghouse to retrieve them.
Once all the bones have been retrieved York will spot a [.357 Magnum (∞)] inside the doghouse and decides to pocket the firearm as well.
(Umm am I the only one wondering why Willie would even have a firearm in there?)
Hopefully Willie won’t miss the gun, York will put it to far better use anyway during his investigation as it’s the most powerful gun in the game!
If York didn’t have all seven bones stolen he will pocket a far less impressive item from the doghouse:
Rewards
Keith’s House
It’s time to for York to pick up his reward for cleaning the stock room! Use the radio and warp directly over to the Ingram’s home.
Enter the garage then use the [Key to Closet] on the closet with the sparkles and take the [Legendary Guitar Grecotch] inside.
A guitar might seem like a silly reward but Grecotch is actually a very powerful melee weapon. With it equipped York can take down enemies easily with just one or two strikes!

Heaven & Hell Gas
Drive over to Heaven & Hell Gas and listen to a new conversation in the car between York and Zach.
At the gas station drive into the green ring until Jack approaches the car and offer him another bribe.
Bribe Jack with $300 and learn that Wesley is a trading card nut and that there’s cards hidden all over Greenvale…
Umm…York already knew all that buddy! This intel was so not worth the $300, good thing York will get that bribe money back.
Park the car and gather the ten [Agent Honor Red] that appear near the gas pumps after the conversation with Jack concludes.
Return to the car and head over to Lysander’s Junkyard and listen to another York and Zach car conversation along the way.
Lysander’s Junkyard
Speak with the General to begin a new Side Mission.
Find the [High Gear Parts] in the Junk Yard. The General will use it to increase the performance of your car.
This is a pretty simple mission just head over to [J-10], grab the [High Gear Parts], then give them to the General to increase the top speed on all the police cars!

Pick up Sigourney
Once the car has been upgraded head across the street and speak to Sigourney. If she’s not there use the radio and warp to the Great Deer Yard Hotel and speak with her near the entrance sign off Muffler Rd. to begin the Side Mission.
Sigourney often wanders the town when the weather is nice. Having been told that her “pot is getting cold!” you now have to take her home. What is she doing with that pot outside anyway?
Take the frantic Sigourney home and receive [Trading Card No. 51 (Sigourney’s Pot)] as a thank you.
Albireo Graveyard
Warp over to the Milk Barn then drive to the Albireo Graveyard and speak with Brian for an $18 “Info Gathering” bonus of $18. Observe the open grave and Brian will approach York and insist that he locate some missing bones. It’s a good thing we’ve already collected them all!
Wild dogs have been through the graveyard and now 7 [Bones] are missing. Brian has pretty much demanded that you get them back. Use his marks on the map, find the [Bones] and return them.
Once all seven [Bones] are returned Brian rewards York with a [Key to Brian’s House].
Well this is a little awkward… I didn’t realize he and York even had that sort of relationship (hehe).
With this new key in hand another Side Mission automatically begin!
Use the [Key] received from Brian to check out his house. It is an old place in a corner of downtown. There might be something important hidden there… or maybe not.
Let’s go check out Brian’s pad and pick up York’s reward!

Return to the car then listen to another York and Zach conversation during the long drive over to Brian’s home.
Make a left onto Moonlight Av and continue up the road until you reach January Way.
Make a right onto January Way and after the Powell Bridge take the fork to the left onto Milkyway Av.
Follow the road past Greenvale High then make a left onto Kingfish St. Pass Anna’s house and finally make a left onto Brownie St to reach Brian’s home.
Use the [Key to Brian’s House] on the small locked gate then enter the property.
Unfortunately, the key does not grant York access to the inside of Brian’s home (boo) so we can only explore the large property.
Speaking of which…Brian must have a thing for stone gargoyles there’s so many in his yard. The property is also in a major state disrepair York should try and convince the guy to leave the graveyard once and while to go take care of his house!
…Actually scratch that, I doubt it would even do any good considering that Brian is most likely a ghost.
Yep, there’s been several hints within Deadly Premonition so far that heavily imply that York has been talking to a ghost this whole time.
For example, when York returns to graveyard and observes the grave where the bones were dug up by a wild dog it reads “Brian XXXX” who lived from 1921-1956.
Considering how anxious Brian was to have those bones returned coupled with his inability to leave the graveyard to find them (even though he was able to make it to the Town Hall meeting somehow?), his retro style of dress, and the dilapidated state of his home are all clear indications the man is actually a ghost.
Additionally in the Japanese and Korean Red Seeds Profile manual there’s a Greenvale newspaper clipping used as decoration on page 22 that implies that Brian “The Insomniac” was a victim of an hit and run accident outside of the graveyard!
Head around the right side of the house and pick up an [Agent Honor (Red)] from behind the hedgerows and then climb up the ladder at the back of the house.
Push the gargoyles out of the way, then climb down another ladder to the other side of the house.
Push aside another gargoyle in front of a concrete bench and pick up the treasure [Wesley Special (∞)].
Shoot the lock off the gate door and leave the property.

Use the radio to return to the Sheriff Department then speak to Thomas inside and agree to have another lunch with the gang.
It’s a bit funny that George turned his nose up at eating raw fish the other day but sees nothing wrong with eating fried cicadas!
Once lunch is over head into George’s office to pick up a pay slip then speak to Thomas who is having a strange dream in the storage room for an $18 “Info Gathering” bonus.

Becky’s House
Leave the department and warp over to Becky’s to say hi and learn that she still doesn’t trust the police and earn $36 in “Info Gathering” bonuses.
Hmm where should we go next? I feel like we are forgeti-Oh yeah! Emily and George are waiting for York at the Muses Gallery aren’t they? I guess we better get over there before George does something rash like try to interview Diane without York! Good thing the gallery is pretty close by.
Muses Gallery
Make a right back onto Muffler Rd which turns into Night Bird Way. Take the first left then follow the road until you reach the Muses Gallery located on the left side of the road.
Park the car then head around but before entering the green marker head around the left side of the building to investigate the grounds in back first.
Peep in the windows for an $18 “Observation” bonus then grab three [Agent Honor (Reds)] near the the sleeping spot around the corner behind the gallery.
Behind the sleeping spot shack there is also an infinitely spawning pile of [Onions].
Continue along the back of the gallery building and pick up one more [Agent Honor (Red)] just beyond the fountain.
Return to the front of the gallery and speak with either Emily or George or enter the green ring to enter the gallery.
Even though they waited forever for York to get his ass to the gallery he makes both George and Emily wait outside while he goes inside to interview Diane.
Inside the gallery you can save your game on the phone at the front desk if you wish.
Head towards the painting with the red sparkles beneath it then watch Olivia Cormack enter the lobby from a side door.
Olivia is clearly lying about something but York doesn’t make a move to stop her when she bolts for the exit.
Pick up the two items Olivia dropped by the door: [Olivia’s Memo] and [Key to the Gallery].
Olivia’s Memo
If you look at Olivia’s memo it says:
A Tree at Sunset
B Red Leaves
C Dancing Red Butterflies
Pass to the office.
Number of red trees. From the Special Exhibition Room.
Hmm okay so it looks like if we want to get into the Gallery office to speak to Diane York will need some sort of passcode. We just need to find three paintings in the gallery then count the number of trees in each to figure out the combination.
Figuring Out the Combination
Let’s first take a look at the tree painting Olivia was staring at before her hasty exit.
First Painting
“Trees at Twilight” a beautiful painting of six trees bathed in a sunset glow
Well this is definitely some trees at sunset! There’s six trees in the painting so the first number in the combination must be 6!
Open the double doors behind the large sculpture of a red tree with the [Key to the Gallery]. Head right then make two lefts to enter a circular gallery. Observed the painting of the four red leaf trees to the right of the doorway you just entered for the next combo number:
Second Painting
“Autumn Leaves” A beautiful painting depicting four trees in their reddish splendor.
There’s four trees in the painting so the next number in the code must be 4!
Around the corner there’s an empty wall with a placard entitled “Red Butterflies Frolicking.” Olivia’s note mentions “Dancing Red Butterflies” so the missing painting is the one we need to complete the code… but where could it be?
Continue through the next doorway then enter the side door with the red sparkles. Head down the stairs and enter the gallery’s storage area.
The third retracting storage shelf hides some [Smoked Salmon] while the fifth one with the red sparkles contains the missing “Red Butterflies Frolicking” painting.
Third Painting
“Red Butterflies Frolicking” A Large tree and red butterflies it almost looks as if it’s burning.
There’s only one tree in this painting so the code to Diane’s office must be 641!
Grab the [Agent Honor (Red)] from behind the last cabinet then return upstairs.
Input 641 on the key panel by the locked door and enter the next room.
York overhears a heated argument inside and witnesses an angry Carol Maclaine exit Diane’s office.
I wonder what that was all about?
Well according to Diane Carol was upset because she slept with someone Carol has feeling for.
It would appear that Diane is something of a man eater and evens make an offer to sleep with York though the FBI agent isn’t taken in by her charms.
York eventually gets an alibi from Diane. On the night of Anna’s murder she was having drinks with Nick Cormack over at the Galaxy of Terror.

Outside the gallery York informs George and Emily of Diane’s alibi. He wishes to confirm Diane’s story and agrees to go with Emily over to the A & G Diner and speak with Nick.
Before leaving however York spots Kaysen through a second floor window. Just what is he doing here at the gallery?
Make a left onto Night Bird Way and listen to Emily and York’s entire conversation about George. Once the road curves keep your eyes on the right side of the road and stop the car by several piles of logs.
Once the conversation in the car concludes step out of the car and ditch Emily. Pick up the three [Agent Honor (Reds)] hidden behind the log piles then and use the radio to warp directly to Becky’s house.
Becky’s House
Bother Becky for a $38 “Info Gathering” bonus (I’m beginning to get the feeling she doesn’t enjoy York’s little visits) then use the radio again to warp to Greenvale Hospital.
Greenvale Hospital
Speak with Fiona at reception for a $19 “Info Gathering” bonus then head downstairs and speak with the chip loving Ushah twice for another $38 in “Info Gathering” bonuses.
Back to the Milk Barn!
Leave the hospital then use the radio to warp over to the Milk Barn. George may be outside by this point so be sure to say hello to him if he is.
Head inside the store and speak with Kaysen to hear a story about a moronic applicant for the Sheriff’s assistant position and earn $38 in “Info Gathering” bonuses.
Speak with Keith behind the counter next and begin a brand new Side Mission.
Quietly return the [Legendary Guitar Grecotch] to Keith when he is working at the Milk Barn. This could be the start of a lasting friendship.
Aw man Keith sure is bummed that Lilly gave York his guitar earlier…you can quickly end this quest by handing it back but I STRONGLY SUGGEST that you wait and complete this Side Mission in a later chapter as this guitar can take out some very strong enemies coming up soon in just a few hits.

Exit the Milk Barn and open the map and look for Sigourney. She will either be in the Albireo Graveyard or in the Greenvale Hospital parking lot. If she’s at the hospital use the radio to warp there but if she’s over at the graveyard just make the quick drive over to her directly from the Milk Barn.
Sigourney often wanders the town when the weather is nice. Having been told that her “pot is getting cold!” you now have to take her home. Why is the pot getting cold such a problem?
After the ride Sigourney rewards York with a brand new car! The [Tough Chap], Emily’s personal ride, will be waiting for him in the hotel parking lot. It’s the second fastest Sheriff Department vehicle with a speed of 65 mph and a top boost speed of 75 mph.

Lysander’s Junkyard
Use the radio and warp to Lysander’s Junkyard then speak with the General to begin a new Side Mission that rewards York with the last possible upgrade to all of the Sheriff Department vehicles!
Find the [Gas Tank Parts] in the Junk Yard. The General will use it to increase the performance of your car.
The last part is actually really close by! Break the boxes to the left of the building then follow the path towards section [N-5] to find the part. Return the [Gas Tank Parts] to the General and listen to his last war story and learn why the General wears a Sergeant’s badge.
At this point York decides that it’s best to leave the General alone since it’s clear he doesn’t know much about the current case at hand…
Oh well, even if he didn’t have intel on the Raincoat Killer the upgrades to York’s transportation were certainly helpful!
Heaven & Hell Gas
Warp to the gas station then bribe Jack one last time to complete his Side Mission.
Now that’s what I call valuable intel!
Back to Lysander’s
Warp back to the Junkyard and speak with the General to begin Side Mission #43.
According to Jack your beloved car, wrecked on the mountain road, has been taken to the General’s scrap yard. Request its repair and then buy it back.
This is a simple Side Mission with one hell of a reward! Tell the General York wishes to shop then pay $5000.00 to repair York’s car and receive [Key to York’s Car].
These repairs will take the General overnight to complete so we’ll pick York’s car up first thing tomorrow morning.

Anna’s House
Warp to Anna’s house and speak to Sallie (who’s still off her rocker) twice for a $38 “Info Gathering” bonus.
Sheriff Department and the Muses Gallery
PLEASE NOTE! This next part is completely optional. There’s nothing to collect nor is there anyone to talk to but what you will witness will reveal aspects of the relationship between certain characters!
Warp to the Sheriff Department then smoke until 17:00. Once George leaves the parking lot follow him as he drives directly over to the Muses Gallery. If you don’t feel like following him via car just warp directly to the gallery and then smoke until around 17:40-ish to witness George drive up and then enter the closed gallery.
Head over to the left side of the building and peep in the windows to see George enter Diane’s office. The two will talk by some paintings for a bit and then enter another room York can’t peep into.
Hmm maybe George is getting a private tour of the gallery collection?
Around 19:00 the George and Diane will leave the gallery and go their separate ways but don’t worry we will catch up with both a little later in the evening!
Galaxy of Terror
Warp to the Galaxy of Terror, smoke until 21:00, then head inside and speak to Thomas about Diane’s alibi for an “Info Gathering” bonus totaling $38.
Unfortunately Thomas can’t tell York whether Diane was at the bar the night of the murder because he was ill and spent the night resting in a back room.
Wait for Carol to finish singing then speak with her twice about her song choice for an “Info Gathering” bonus totaling $38. York is quite excited to learn that Carol has an extensive record collection but sadly she won’t let him come over to see it.
SWERY’65
Leave the Galaxy of Terror then warp directly over to SWERY’65 and speak with Sallie inside about missing the town meeting and learn that she didn’t know her daughter very well for a total of $38 in “Info Gathering” bonuses.
Speak with Quint twice at the back of the bar and learn he’s worried about Sallie’s drinking to earn another $38 in “Info Gathering” bonuses.
Speak with Richard behind the bar next for another $19 “Info Gathering” bonus. The man has much to say to the killer once he’s caught.
Kaysen is also sitting at the bar and will invite York to sit with him and drink but York declines. Speak with Kaysen again and he will urge York to take more breaks earning York another $38 in “Info Gathering” bonuses.
At 21:20 leave the bar and warp directly to the Great Deer Yard Hotel for some more character conversations!
Great Deer Yard Hotel
Head directly to the dining room in the East Wing and speak with Polly and Diane eating inside for $57 in “Info Gathering” bonuses.
Within moments Diane and Polly should stand up to leave. Be sure to speak with Diane twice more before she leaves the room and she’ll invite York out for a drink which the FBI agent decline. Oh well…
Back to the Galaxy of Terror
Leave the hotel and head back over to the Galaxy of Terror. Smoke until 22:00 and around this time George should walk into the bar. Speak with him twice for some more “Info Gathering” bonuses. The Sheriff wonders why Olivia was at the Muses Gallery tells York to question her.
Talk to Thomas and grab something to eat so York won’t be dying from starvation tomorrow morning then smoke until 23:50 and witness something a little… odd.
Around 23:55 Thomas and George will head to the locked room behind the bar together. York won’t comment on it, but I sure wonder what they are up to!
Speak to Carol who walks up to the bar in Thomas’ absence she’ll inform York that Thomas in in the back sleeping.
Uh…okay? So why did George go back there with him then?
Seriously lady, we saw them go into the back room together and we can see them on York’s metal map!
Are they in a relationship and are just too shy to show the world?
Unfortunately, York is lame and doesn’t ask any of my own mental queries and only inquires about why more help isn’t hired to work at the bar. Carol ends up calling York a burden which York take as a compliment because it makes him feel like Colombo.
Around 00:00 Nick and Diane will walk into the bar and sit at a table together and begin chatting. Talk to both of them twice and York will earn $76 in “Info Gathering” bonuses. A tipsy Diane even opens up a bit about her childhood dreams of living in the forest.
With these conversations completed it’s time to head back to the hotel for some much needed sleep. Since it’s after midnight Greenvale will be invested with Shadows so use the radio and warp to the hotel to avoid any unnecessary fighting.

Sleep for 9 hours and if you didn’t have York to eat something at the bar be sure to eat something in the inventory right away so he doesn’t drop dead. Be sure to also change York’s suit and send the one he’s wearing off for cleaning as well!
Head over to the dining room and speak Polly. Agree to a coffee to get York’s fortune for an “Info Gathering” bonus of $19 and a “Fortune Telling” bonus of $28. Speak to Polly again who should still be putzing around the dining room for an additional $19 “Info Gathering” bonus.
Head out of one of the side doors into the hotel backyard and pick up [Trading Card No. 11 (Forrest Kaysen)] near Kaysen’s hotel room then use the radio to warp directly to Lysander’s Junkyard.

York’s car should be parked on the side of the road outside the junkyard but before taking it for a spin speak to the General for a $19 “Info Gathering” bonus.
With York’s car in hand it’s time to begin another Side Mission across town! Enter and exit York’s car (so it will warp to the next location) then use the radio to head directly over to the Muses Gallery.
|

Smoke outside until 11:00 then enter the Muses Gallery.
This next Side Mission is a little tricky as York needs to speak to Diane to begin the Mission but she’s standing in her office which is unreachable at the moment. The only way to complete the Mission is to ambush Diane as she’s on her way out to have lunch with Polly over at the Great Deer Yard Hotel with the item needed to complete the Mission already in hand.
Diane won’t leave her office until around 11:40 which gives us plenty of time to acquire the key item needed to complete the Side Mission before she leaves the gallery.
Head through the lobby then make a right followed by a left and another right and enter the small little open area near Diane’s office. Climb up the concrete step and shoot the lock through the open window to unlock a door. Head back to the room with the security door and open the unlocked door and pick up the [The Girl from the Woods] painting from the back corner of the room.
With the painting in hand stand in front of the security door then smoke until Diane leaves her office at 11:40 and speak with her to begin the Side Mission.
Diane is hiding something. Find the painting of [The Girl in the Woods] slumbering somewhere in the art gallery and give it to her. She may open up to you.
Hand Diane the painting and receive [Trading Card No. 5 (Diane Ames)] as a thank you.
Once the Side Mission is completed leave the gallery and warp directly over to the Sheriff Department. It’s time for another lunch with the Greenvale crew!

Locate Thomas in the kitchen and tell him York would like some lunch to begin the cutscene.
During this particular lunch York asks Thomas about Emily’s cooking and hilarity ensues.
Once the lunch cutscene concludes check the weather on the TV for an extra $28 then head over to the storage room and speak to the sleeping Thomas for another $19 “Info Gathering” bonus.
Exit the Sheriff Department and use the radio to warp over to the A & G Diner. It’s time for York to speak Nick and see if Diane’s alibi holds up.

Walk into the green marker in front of the door of the diner to begin the next cutscene.
I love how York is so surprised Emily waited outside the diner for him to arrive. Like come on dude…you’ve made Emily and George wait outside every other building so you could investigate or question someone on your own. Of course Emily would assumed that had to be the case here as well…
As they step inside the diner York suggests that he and Emily have some lunch. I seriously loled when York let the door shut in Emily’s face… he’s such a gentlemen no?
Also lunch? I guess York forgot he and Emily ate less than ten minutes ago at the department…
Now the following cutscene changes slightly depending on the time of day York enters the diner to question Nick. Since we’ve decided to question Nick during lunch (01:00) we will witness an extra scene with Michael and Mr. Stewart where York tries the “Sinner Sandwich.”
Now if we chose to question Nick later in the afternoon or in the evening this cutscene will not occur which is a shame since it’s one of the funniest scenes in the game!
Once Michael and Mr. Stewart leave Emily and York will continue to eating and discuss a bit about their days in high school . I seriously wish we had a flashback scene I would have loved to see what York looked like as a punk rocker!
Once you have control of York turn around and speak to Carol sitting in the booth by the window twice for $38 “Info Gathering” bonus then immediately return to the counter where Emily and Olivia are standing.
Speak to Olivia and learn the answer to one burning question I know I had while playing this game…just what the “A & G” of “A & G Diner” stood for!
Speak with Nick over by the kitchen next. He confirms Diane’s alibi for the night of the murder but York is convinced that both are hiding something from him.
Return to the counter and speak with Olivia once more and York will deduce that she was at the gallery earlier to speak with Diane. A nervous Olivia then asks York and Emily to meet her at the back of the diner after they close 21:00 tonight and hands over the [Key to Back Yard].
Since nothing can be done until the diner closes Emily heads back to the department. Let’s use this free time to take care of some more Side Missions around town!

Use the radio and warp over to the Tree of Anna then smoke until 16:00 and run down to Anna’s tree and speak to Carol to start a new Side Mission.
Someone is taking walks in Anna’s forest in the early afternoon when the weather is clear. Find this person and hand over the [Out of Focus Picture] from the twins. It could be a new lead!
Carol seems to be searching for something but doesn’t want to say what it is. Could she be the “ghost” the twins saw wandering the forest?
Hand Carol the [Out of Focus Picture] which is of her and Anna taken “nowhere special” apparently. Despite Carol’s nonchalance York is convinced that photo was taken in a special place…but where?
Carol will hands over [Trading Card No. 9 (Thomas MacLaine)] for York’s trouble and if York speaks to her again he’ll learn that she doesn’t believe in Heaven or a Hell.
Return to the car then drive down to the Greenvale Forest Park entrance where the twins and Kaysen are walking up the mountain path. Jump out of the car and speak with the twins to finish up Side Mission #12.
Bid the boys adieu and use your radio to warp directly over to the Galaxy of Terror.

Smoke until 21:00 and then head inside the bar. Grab something to eat from Thomas if York’s hunger meter is really low then speak with him again to finish up Side Mission #9.
York convinces the Jack to leave the bar by pretending he recorded their entire conversation then threaten to play back his “Carol is #1” comment to Gina.
Thomas is happy the conversation with Jack didn’t turn into a brawl and hands over [Trading Card No. 6 (Carol MacLaine)] for York’s trouble.
Since we’ve collected quite a bit of new cards it’s time to pay Wesley a visit so use the radio to warp to Panda Bear. There’s one more Side Mission York can complete before talking with Olivia back at the A & G Diner.
|

Head inside Panda Bear and show Wesley York’s card collection which has grown to a total of 49 cards over the last few days!
Wesley, the owner of the shop Panda bear, is an avid trading card collector. Show him your own collection. 48 cards will get you a “rare thank you.” His shop hours are from 20:00 to 06:00
Wesley is impressed that York has managed to collect more than 48 cards and hands over the [Dancing All Night Suit]. Like the “Passion Red” this new suit will affect York’s status while he’s wearing it. When the “Dancing All Night” this suit is worn York’s pulse gauge is significantly increased allowing the agent to hold his breath and aim for longer periods of time. It’s super handy!
With Side Mission #38 complete Side Mission #39 will immediately begin!
Wesley, the owner of the shop Panda Bear, is an avid trading card collector. Show him your own collection. 64 cards will get you a “super rare thank you.” His shop hours are from 20:00 to 06:00
We actually can’t complete this Side Mission until the Epilogue so until then we’ll just continue to add cards to York’s collection!
Since there’s nothing else York can do here let’s head back to the A & G Diner and see what Olivia has to say about Nick and Diane.

Use the radio and warp directly to the A & G Diner then use the [Key to Back Yard] to open to back gate and enter the green marker to start the cutscene.
Olivia is worried that Nick and Diane might be more than just friends. Nick claims that all they do is talk about art but he seems to be meeting Diane every night now leaving his wife home all alone.
According to Olivia on the night of the murder she had followed Nick and Diane to the Galaxy of Terror and then later back to the Muses Gallery but was too afraid to confront them at the time.
Hmm… it seems like Nick and Diane’s alibis hold up. York may be back at square one with his suspect list.
As Olivia sobs to York and Emily about her crumbling relationship George’s voice suddenly comes over Emily’s radio. There seems to be something going on over at Becky’s house.
Thomas took a frantic call from Quint, who is at her home, and mentioned…something about a Raincoat Killer?
Oh no! This doesn’t sound good at all I hope Becky is okay!
George orders York and Emily to head directly over to the mansion and back Thomas up.
York immediately departs leaving Emily to calm down a hysterical Olivia distraught over the possibility that Nick coudl be the center of the trouble at Becky’s.

The mansion looks a lot different from York’s previous visits during the week. The Other World has taken over and as soon as York steps into the foyer red vines grow and completely block the entrance. There’s no chance of any back up now.
Step forward and dodge an attack from the Raincoat Killer who only waggles a finger at York before dashing away deeper into the house.
Awesome.
Before following the killer check the bureau to the left and pick up a [First Aid Kit (Medium)].
Behind the double doors directly ahead is Becky’s bedroom, kind of a weird placement if you ask me. I would have figured her bedroom was further back in the house….
Inside there’s a toolbox, a couch to sleep on, a suitcase, and a phone to save your game.
Observe the red velvet on the bed to start York’s first profiling sequence and reveal that three clues are needed to figure out what went down in the home.
Pick up a piece of [Cherry Pie] behind the couch then head through the doorway to the left as the other door closer to the bed is locked.
As York heads down the next hallway a soft music box version of “Miss Stiletto Heels” begins to play.
Enter the door at the end of the hall then continue directly through the next room into the next hallway.
Enter the open door located down the hall and to the left. Avoid the fire that is spread throughout the room and exit through the double doors.
The next hallway is blocked on both ends by furniture so continue forward through the double doors straight ahead. In the next room break the mannequins for some [Agent Honor (Blue)] and run past the infinite Shadow spawn point on the wall and on the floor over towards the back right corner of the room.
Pick up the [Agent Honor (Red)] then open the fridge by the exit and grab a [Lollipop].
Exit the room then pick up the [Agent Honor (Red)] in the hallway to the right then head through the double doors directly ahead.
A line of wooden boxes block the path in the next hall. Break them all to receive some [Agent Honor (Blue)] and a [Stabilizer] the continue down the hall.
Around the corner the hallway splits off the right but before going down that way head to the dead end to the left first and pick up a [Lollipop] and another [Agent Honor (Red)].
Continue down the hall and break another line of boxes blocking the path for some [10mm Auto Bullets] before heading through the double doors.
At this point York will find himself back in the foyer at the front of the mansion. Observe the mirror on the wall to find [Clue #1: Reversed Peace Sign] and red vines will appear and block the door he just came through. A Shadow also spawns from the floor so be sure to kill it before continuing forward.
Head up the stairs and kill the two Shadows on the landing so the red vines blocking the door on the far side of the room recede.
Enter the door and continue on down the next hallway. Vines immediately block the entrance and a music box will begin to play again.
There’s a set of double doors located midway down the hall to your right but they are blocked by red vines for the moment. Continue on and open the cupboard at the end of the hall with the red sparkles that the music box melody is emanating from and pick up [Clue #2: Red Seed].
With this clue in hand the vines that previously blocked the double doors midway down the hall recede. The doors then open and reveal a single Shadow standing behind them. Dispose of the Shadows that appear than continue on through the double doors.
In the next hallway the path to the right is blocked. Enter the only accessible door to the left and York will find himself back in Becky’s bedroom. Once he steps inside red vines appear and block the exit back into the previous hallway.
Head through the unlocked door near Becky’s bed and spot the Raincoat killer walking slowly through some double doors at the end of the hallway.
Before following the Raincoat Killer through the double doors pick up the [Agent Honor (Red)] behind the couch to the left of the doorway first.
Upon entering the next room the Raincoat Killer will immediately spot York (he can see through walls apparently).
Quickly hide in one of the dressers then wait for him to leave the room through the double doors on the opposite end of the room.
Once the Raincoat Killer leaves head through the busted doorway the Raincoat Killer had come through and collect the four [Agent Honor (Reds)] that’s hidden inside.
Return to the bedroom then follow the Raincoat Killer through the double doors.
In the next room around the corner break the boxes to the left and pick up some [Agent Honor (Blue)] and a [Chocolate Chip Cookie].
Look behind the row of cabinets for some [5.56mm x 45 Bullets] and [10mm Auto Bullets].
Head through the double doors and walk into the open dining room. The Raincoat Killer reappears through a side door and gives chase all the way back into the mansion foyer. Luckily some red vines block the doorway immediately after York had dove through so the Raincoat Killer cannot follow.
Grab the [Root Beer] to the left then continue on up the staircase. Destroy the mannequins on the landing for some [Agent Honor (Blue)] then continue on through the door to pick up [Clue #3: Bloody Camisole] from a blank canvas at the end of the hallway.
Once York completes his profile disposed of the Armed Shadow that appears then enter the double doors the Shadow appeared from.
The path is blocked on either side in the next hallway so just continue forward through the doorway to the right and re-enter Becky’s bedroom.

Upon entering Becky’s bedroom the world returns to normal and York hears the shower running from the adjacent bathroom.
Before investigating the bathroom pick up the [Stabilizer] from behind Becky’s couch and open the jewelry box on the vanity to pick up a [Cigarette Heavy].
Enter the bathroom and find that Becky has been attacked by the Raincoat Killer! George, Emily and Thomas bust into the room soon after and all are in shock at Becky’s state.
But she’s still alive which means there’s a chance she can possibly finger who hurt her so badly.
Unfortunately, in his efforts to cut Becky down, George sets off a trap left by the Raincoat Killer that quickly finishes Becky off for good.
Man, if only George listened to York Becky might have been saved and we could have solved the case!
Pick up the [Key for the Safe] from the floor then speak to George, who’s feeling crummy for letting Becky die, before heading back into Becky’s bedroom. (“What a Hell” indeed George)
Speak to the distraught Emily and Thomas then head over to the back wall and reveal the wall safe hidden behind a cockeyed painting.
Open the safe with the key Becky spit out to find a seemly blank notebook.
York uses a pencil to reveal the imprint of a recent letter Becky wrote to her sister, Diane. It seems that Becky not only witnessed Anna’s murder but was also in possession of the thing Anna was gripping onto when she died.
Becky gave this mysterious item to the Ingram twins to deliver to Diane. It’s unfortunate that never names the “he” who committed the murder in the letter.
