York stands in a mysterious white forest surrounded by doors that all lead into white voids.
Enter the door directly ahead and continue forward in the same matter through two more rooms.
Upon reaching the third room pause a moment and search the white dresser on the left to collect [Trading Card No. 15 (Angel Isaiah)].
Continue forward through three more doors to a room where the lone exit blocked by a mysterious man in white.Speak to the man and he’ll caution York that there’s “no turning back” once he enters the next room.
Sounds pretty ominous but if York ever wants to crack the case he’ll need to throw caution to the wind and continue forward!
Answer the man with “Yes, I’m going alone” then witness the troubling scene behind the door.
A man stands over a woman lying prone on the floor and points a handgun directly at her head.
The camera pans revealing a young York is watching this scene in horror. The mysterious man and woman are his parents.
York’s father warns the that “at times we must purge things from this world because they should not exist. Even if it means losing someone that you love.”
Really? Is this your justification for shooting your wife? She had to be purged? What the hell was wrong with your dad York?
The young York kneels and reaches out to his mother only for her to rise with a monstrous face and attack. Yikes.
York snaps awake in bed back at the Great Deer Yard Hotel. It appears his trip into the white forest was just another bizarre dream.

As York is reading the morning paper he realizes that his coffee cup has left a ring stain on a large sale ad perfectly in-circling the letters H-A-R-R-Y. Interpreting this as a sign to “Hurry to Harry” York decides that it’s finally time to speak with Mr. Stewart the “problematic rich boy”.
Before leaving let’s return to York’s hotel room first to shave and change suits for some extra monetary bonuses.
In the lobby York runs into Kaysen who wonders whether he’s still a suspect since Nick has been arrested and is quite worried his previous relationship with Diane will spread around town… even though there “shouldn’t be a problem” given that he and his wife have been separated for three years.
York promises to not spill the beans and begins to wonder if Kaysen is seeing someone else in town and secretly hopes it isn’t Emily.
Dude…really York? You are the one she paid a late night visit to. Not Kaysen. I think it is pretty obvious who she’s into man…
Speak with Kaysen again for another $24 “Info Gathering” bonus then check the weather on the TV for an additional $38 bonus.
Speak to Polly over in reception next who thinks York is hitting on her, yet again, for some more “Info Gathering” bonuses then ask to buy some items. She has a brand new “Rainy Stripe” suit for sale for only $999.98…
Holy shit Polly! Overcharge much? I thought you and York were friends…good thing the Bureau pays him well.
This new suit doesn’t actually do anything special but it’s nice to increase York’s wardrobe!
Once you’re done shopping leave the hotel through the front entrance.

In the hotel parking lot York runs into Emily who is looking for Thomas who disappeared sometime last night and isn’t responding to radio calls either. Emily’s a bit worried and George wants the okay from York for them to go look for him today.
York gives his blessing for the search and informs Emily of his plans to meet with Harry Stewart today.
She’s less than impressed and believes talking with Harry is an illogical next step. York unsurprisingly waves off these concerns and walks away leaving Emily to mutter to herself about her terrible taste in men. Of course York is too far away at this point hear Emily’s mutterings.
You see York? You don’t have to worry about her seeing Kaysen she likes you, you big weirdo!
Let’s talk to some other Greenvale residents before visiting Harry and get another Side Mission completed while we’re at it. First stop, the Milk Barn!
PLEASE NOTE! We are on a schedule
During the next two chapters we are on a bit of a “schedule”. There’s residents we can talk to for some extra optional conversations but to hit most of them we need to catch these residents at the right time.
Unfortunately the game likes to sometimes reset traveling character’s positions when you use cigarettes or warp with the radio so I’ve tried to spread these conversations out during the day with a natural progression of game time.
These conversations are not necessary to complete to game but you will earn a lot of “Info Gathering” bonuses and gain a bit more insight to how the town is feeling after Nick’s arrest.

Hop in a car then drive over to the Milk Barn and listen to another York and Zach conversation about their fondness for punk music.
George should be standing outside of the store so speak with him twice about the Thomas situation for a $48 “Info Gathering” bonus before heading inside.
Head over to the produce section and talk to Lilly twice for another $48 and get her take on who the killer may be.
“The scene of a railway accident” is marked on a suspicious map purchased from Keith at the Milk Barn. Go to the marked location and clear the “Other World” challenge there.”

Leave the Milk Barn and drive over to Lysander’s Junkyard and listen to another York and Zach conversation about their favorite bands.
Talk to the General twice for $48 in bonuses and purchase another Greenvale resident vehicle to add to your collection if you desire.
Drive towards Heaven & Hell Gas and have another car conversation regarding York’s change of feelings for Emily. He’s apparently he’s interested in her but doesn’t think she likes him very much.
*Sigh* if only you heard what she said about you back at the hotel York…
Speak with Jack and Gina for some more “Info Gathering” bonuses and fill up your car if you are low on gas.
Now it is time to check out the spooky train Keith told us about.

Drive down January Way towards the Greenvale Apartments for yet another long car conversation about York’s feelings for Emily.
(There aren’t any bonuses involved but you can peep on Carol sitting and smoking in her Greenvale Apartment before heading over to do the map quest at this time.).
Head onto the train tracks and start the mission by drive into the purple ring with the orange arrow directly above.
To make this mission easier equip the [10mm Submachine Gun (∞)] or the [Legendary Guitar Grecotch] and use it to clear the rooms.
After clearing the first room grab the [First Aid Kit (Small)] in the little boxes next to the barrels directly in front of the main door. There’s [Agent Honor (Blue)] in the little box by the barrel to the left of the door and [Stabilizer] on the table in the back of the room
In this next room it’s pretty easy to kill the shadows since they appear and immediately walk through a ring of fire trying to get to York.
Once the room is clear grab the [Mission Knife] on the table in the back of the room. There’s a [Stabilizer] in the small boxes and an [Ice Axe] in the large box on the left side of the room. Then grab a [First Aid Kit (Small)] and [Agent Honor (Blue)] in the small boxes near the barrel behind the train car on the ride side of the room.
In this next room the little boxes by the train on the right contain [Stabilizer] and there’s a [Turkey Sandwich] on back table.
Uh-oh this next area is a long hallway…I think you know what this means mother-f-ing Crawling Shadows.
Whip out the [Legendary Guitar Grecotch] and quickly take down the two Crawling Shadows that appear. You can grab [5.56mm x 45 Bullets] and [10mm Auto Bullets] from the little boxes to the right near the entry. The little boxes in the middle of the hallway contains [12 Gauge Shotgun Shells] and a [First Aid Kit (Small)]. Near the exit door is a [Sword] that appeared after the Crawling Shadows’ defeat.
There’s a [Sugar Donut] and [10mm Auto Bullets] inside the little boxes by exploding barrels on left side of room. As well as another item on the table and some [Agent Honor (Blue)] in the exploding barrel behind the train car on right side of room.
Another ring of fire room! The boxes behind exploding barrels on left side of room contain a box of [10mm Auto Bullets] and the table at the back of room has slab of [High Quality Beef]. In the stack of small boxes beside the exploding barrels on the right side is some [Cheese] and [12 Gauge Shotgun Shells]. Finally in a box near an orange cone by the right wall is a [First Aid Kit (Small)].
Another hallway means another set of Crawling Shadows to fight. The small boxes left of entrance contain a [First Aid Kit (Small)] and [12 Gauge Shotgun Shells]. In the middle of the hallway along the right side wall are some [10mm Auto Bullets] and a [First Aid Kit (Small)] and by the exit is a [Bait (Legend Worm)].
Clear the room of shadows. There’s a [First Aid Kit (Small)], [12 Gauge Shotgun Shells], and an [Ice Axe] by train car on the right side of the room. The back table contains some [.357 Magnum Bullets].
This room will be empty save for a large purple exit ring in the middle and an [12Ga Shotgun CQB (∞)] on a back table. With your prize in hand enter the large purple ring to complete the map quest.

After that grueling map quest it is time fort York to get some lunch! Use the radio and warp over to the Sheriff Department. Locate Emily in the office room and have York suggest that she try making them some lunch.
It is no surprise that despite Emily’s best efforts the food is still terrible. At least George didn’t have to suffer with us this time around!
After the cutscene return to the office room and speak with Emily twice for another $48 “Info Gathering” bonus. She reeeeeally isn’t pleased York is going to see Harry today we better see ourselves out.

There’s still a bunch of folks we can talk to before we head over to Harry’s place.
The Cormack’s and Anna’s
Radio to the Cormacks’ home and head inside to check on Olivia. Speak with her three times to give her an update on Nick for a $72 “Info Gathering” bonus. (You can also peep in the window for another $24 bonus)
Run across the street to Anna’s home and speak to Sallie, who didn’t seem to know Diane and Becky were sisters, for another $24 bonus. Sometimes you can catch Quint outside before he walks into Anna’s house and you can get another $24 “Info Gathering” bonus, but I’ve found this isn’t reliable that he’ll be there in time.
The Milk Barn
Radio to the Milk Barn to catch up with Carol and Richard doing some shopping inside for some more “Info Gathering” bonuses. Carol is prickly as ever and still isn’t willing to talk with York.
The Graveyard
Get in your car and head over the graveyard and speak with Brian for another $24 bonus and learn there’s now three goddesses in the forest…let’s just hope York can prevent anymore from appearing.
Greenvale Hospital
Use the radio and warp over the hospital. Speak with George outside twice for a $48 “Info Gathering” bonus and learn that he isn’t having luck finding Thomas and is beginning to fear that his disappearance may have a connection to the case. Head inside and speak with Fiona at the reception and Ushah in the autopsy room for some more bonuses. Ushah tries to make a joke to York about luring Thomas out with some chips but it falls flat…
Greenvale Forest Park
Drive all the way over to the Greenvale Forest Park and speak with Jim twice for $48 bonus (the old man is finally opening up to York a little!) inside his cabin. Now I said drive instead of warping because we want to kill a little in-game time so we can catch Carol around 13:50-ish getting out of her car to walk over to the Tree of Anna. If you are able to speak to her before she gets to the tree you can get another $24 “Info Gathering” bonus. Follow after Carol and speak with her again at the tree for another $48 (she should be there by 13:58-ish). Carol’s a bit more talkative but makes it clear she wishes to be alone.
There’s some more people we want to talk to today but let’s get this meeting with Harry over with first!

Use radio and warp to SWERY’65, then and drive up January Way towards the red markers indicating Harry’s Mansion and enter the green ring at the gate.
Inside the front room Michael drops some some mad rhymes about heading over to the meeting room to see Harry then spins the room via a piano to unlock some large double doors for York. Even though Michael hurries you along take the time to speak with him again for a $24 “Info Gathering” bonus. Be sure to also observe Michael too for a somewhat sad description of him by York.
Head through the double doors and make a left down a small hallway and observe some open sheet music near some red sparkles that Mr. Stewart out for York to find.
The Sheet Music
If you look at the sheet music it says:
Symphony No.3 “Eroica”
Symphony No.5 “Fate”
Sympony No.6 “Pastorale”
Take note of the numbers of each symphony as they are the key to solving an upcoming puzzle.
Leave the hall and enter the next large room. In-between two statues straight ahead is the “Drawing Room” Harry is waiting in but it’s locked with no keyhole so York needs to find another way inside to talk with him.
Six guest rooms line the left and right sides of the room. Directly behind the locked drawing room are two doors that both lead to small courtyard that contains eight large cavalry trooper statues. There are three that line the wall directly behind the Drawing Room while the other five are off to the side.
When you observe the three behind the drawing room York points out that they all look that they are meant to hold something and suggests a Springfield rifle.
Close but no cigar York. All of the other statues in the courtyard are all holding an umbrella so it would seem that what these three are missing is an umbrella, not a rifle.
Luckily there are some umbrellas nearby, six in fact, as each of the guest rooms contain a numbered umbrella that corresponds with the guest room number.
So basically to open the Drawing Room doors we need to choose three guest room umbrellas and place them in the statue’s hands. But the question is… but which ones?
The clue is in the sheet music Harry left out for York to fine. Remember the three symphony numbers? Those are the numbered umbrellas we’ll need to use.
Grab the umbrellas from guest rooms 3, 5, and 6 and place each in a statue back in the courtyard. (BTW if you wish to change York’s suit there’s a suitcase located in Guest Room 1, there’s also a toolbox in Guest Room 4, and a plate of [High Quality Beef] on a table in Guest Room 2.)
Once the correct numbered umbrellas are place the statue’s eyes will flash green. Once all three statues in the courtyard are holding an umbrella the eyes of the statues beside the Drawing Room entrance will flash green and the door will unlock.
Shortly after York sits down in front of Mr. Stewart in the Drawing Room Michael enters with a tray of tea. After York refuses to take a cup Mr. Stewart (through Michael) insists he try some with SUGAR. The emphasis on sugar inspires York to lift the lid off the sugar bowl and he is surprised to find that the container is filled to the brim with with red seeds.
When questioned where all these seeds came from Mr. Stewart responds that they were acquired within Greenvale and that this conversation will only continue once York finds this mysterious location. Mr. Stewart is somewhat generous and provides York with the hint that the seeds can be found in a location that “is most crowded and most quiet and gives a cold sensation.”
(and If that wasn’t enough enough of a hint the camera also pans and lingers on a painting of a cemetery directly behind Mr. Stewart’s head.)
Looks like we will have to pay Brian at Albireo Graveyard another visit today.

When York leaves the mansion he shares with Zach that he’s figured out Henry’s riddle and that we need to head over to the graveyard to find the seeds. But before we continue with Harry’s little treasure hunt let’s take care of the last Sigourney Side Mission and talk with some more of the Greenvale residents.
Hamilton Way
Radio to A & G Diner then drive up Hamilton Way and speak with Sigourney over by the Wood Path who complains that her pot is cold and that this is the last time she needs a ride home.
For some reason York thinks that once we get her safely home the contents of this special pot will revealed! Oooh boy!
Sigourney often wanders the town when the weather is nice. Having been told that her “pot is getting cold!” you now have to take her home. What’s the truth behind this pot?!
Drive Sigourney as fast as you can from the Wood Path to her home near the corner of Muffler Rd and Hemingway Rd indicated by an orange arrow on York’s GPS.
Even though the pot gives permission for York to take a peek inside he decides not to because he wants to keep the contents as an “eternal mystery.”
Boooooo! Booooooooooooooooooooo! Eternal mystery my ass York! I don’t know about you guys but I really wanted to know what was inside 🙁
Oh well at least we obtain a fly [“Greenvale” Suit] for all our trouble.
The Milk Barn
After dropping Sigourney off use the radio and warp over to the Milk Barn. Head inside and speak with Kaysen twice to hear a long joke about a CIA agent looking for a spy named Peter for a $50 “Info Gathering” bonus.
SWERY’65
Time wise it should be around 14:30 at this point. Drive over to SWERY’65 and head over to Richard’s trailer behind the bar and speak with Quint and his father inside for $50 in “Info Gathering” bonuses.
Quint is apparently ready to see Nick go to the electric chair while his father is worried Quint will actually try and do something to Nick before there’s even a trial.

There’s no one else to talk to at the moment so we might as well look for those red seeds. Drive over to the Albireo Graveyard and enter the green ring and Brian tells York there’s several trees in the graveyard that drops red seeds within the fenced off area we found one of the bones in just a few days prior.
Once you are in control of York follow the path to the right of the fence and fight through the Shadows that appear along the way. These Shadows will infinitely re-spawn so only worry about ridding the ones directly blocking your way and continue forward to the end of the path.
Push one of the stone gargoyles forward and enter the green ring in the fenced off area to pick up some [Red Seeds] to bring back to Harry.
Before you leave the graveyard speak to Brian once again to hear what he thinks about the red seeds.
We could head back to the mansion immediately and continue our conversation with Harry but since he’s being kind of a dick with the whole withholding information from York until he run some errands I say let’s make him wait some more and talk with some more Greenvale residents instead!
First lets track down George and check up on how the manhunt for Thomas is going on.

Around 15:30-ish George should be standing outside the Greenvale Community Center. You may need to kill some more time until then so make the long drive from the graveyard.
Speak with George twice in the parking lot and earn a $50 “Info Gathering” bonus. If you want to see something a little creepy enter the Community Center and head into the main theater to see a bunch of the townsfolk still sitting in there from the town hall meeting a few days ago.

SWERY’65
Use the radio and warp over to SWERY’65 then smoke until the bar opens at 18:00.
Visit with Quint in his trailer for a $25 “Info Gathering” bonus then head inside the bar.
Speak with Emily eating at a side table twice for another $50 bonus then speak again with Richard at the bar who’s at a loss on what to do about Quint.
Smoke until 21:00 so Sallie and Kaysen will be sitting at the bar and Quint will be working. Speak to Sallie twice who’s angry that she let Anna work at the diner and is completely convinced that is was Nick who killed her for $50 in “Info Gathering” bonuses. It seems that arresting Nick has caused bigger waves than York previously thought it would here in Greenvale.
Speak with Kaysen next twice for another $50 bonus. He will only reiterate that the footsteps he heard were definitely boots. Finally speak with Quint for another $50 and talk him down from killing Nick himself.
Panda Bear
Panda Bear should be open now so use the radio and warp directly over to the shop and earn another $50 “Info Gathering” bonus asking Wesley about his love life. Man, York sure is nosy!
Galaxy of Terror
Next warp over to the Galaxy of Terror and speak with Carol twice about seeing the locked back room. She of course brushes York off and tells him to bring a warrant but at least we earned another $50.
Since there isn’t anyone else we can speak with tonight let’s head back to the hotel and catch some much needed shut eye.

Sleep for 12 hours and change your suit and check the weather again for some additional bonuses.
In the lobby you can speak with Polly for $50 in “Info Gathering” bonuses but she’ll just repeat what she said yesterday about asking Emily out on a date instead of her.
Kaysen should be in the lobby as well and if you speak with him twice you’ll earn an additional $50 bonus as he compares Greenvale to a rotten egg.
Since it’s a brand new day and game chapter it means it’s another opportunity for a department lunch…sadly this is our last one for the entire game.
Warp over to the Sheriff Department and speak to Emily about making lunch again. The food looks just as bad as yesterday but York totally skips out on actually eating any of it after asking Emily about Brian.
We’ve definitely wasted enough time I say it’s time to see what Harry has to say about the red seeds we found yesterday.

Use the radio and warp over to Harry’s Mansion then enter the green ring by the gate. Michael uses the piano to spin the room once again and unlock the double doors inside.
If you speak with Michael before leaving the room you’ll get a $25 bonus and learn that York can’t leave until the meeting with Mr. Stewart is over. I think someone thinks a little too highly of themselves! York doesn’t need to stay if he has other shit to do Mr. Stewart…
Behind the double doors lies a brand new section of the mansion and to the right down a small hallway lies another set of open sheet music.
Open Sheet Music
If you look at the sheet music it says:
Piano Sonata No.14 “Moonlight”
Piano Sonata No.23 “Appassionata”
Piano Sonata No.26 “Les Adieux”
Take note of the Sonata numbers as they will come into play in an upcoming puzzle.
There’s also a guest room to the left with a place to save and shave as well as a toolbox and suitcase. There’s also a respawning [Can of Pineapples] sitting on a toilet if you need it. Wow, weird place to store pineapples Harry.
Follow the hallway into small circular courtyard. There are three moveable calvary statues sitting on a metal grid and a locked door to the right.
Statue Puzzle
If you take a closer look at grid you’ll see twelve stone placards line the perpendicular lines. With your back facing the exit door the x-axis consists of numbers 1-6 while the y-axis are multiples of ten increasing up to sixty.
Remember the open sheet music back in the hallway? The key to solve this puzzle is hidden in the Sonata numbers.
Piano Sonata No.14 “Moonlight” = (4, 10)
Piano Sonata No.23 “Appassionata” = (3, 20)
Piano Sonata No.26 “Les Adieux” = (6, 20)
The numbers listed are the x,y coordinates and the statues are the points we need to plot on the metal grid.
It doesn’t matter what order you move the statues in and once a statue is moved to the correct spot its eyes will flash green.
Head through the unlocked door and head left down the hallway. At the end there will be a double door with a padlock that just leads back to the front area with the guest room and a single door to the left. Enter the door on the left to grab a single [Agent Honor (Red)] inside the small room with two racks of women’s clothing. It’s kind of weird given that there doesn’t seem to be any ladies living here but hey maybe Michael and Stewart like to crossdress?
Exit the storage room and make a right back down the hallway passing another padlocked door (it just leads back to the entrance) and enter the double door with red sparkles where both Harry and Michael are waiting inside.
York walks into a large room with a spectacular view of the top of Velvet Falls. He drops a handful of red seeds at Harry’s feet (like a boss!) then asks to hear more about them.
In response Michael fiddles with the knobs on Harry’s throat and we hear the mysterious capitalist finally speak for himself for the first time.
Harry retells York the legend of the Raincoat Killer as if it was fact and York isn’t pleased. The FBI has no record of such a man going on a killing spree fifty years ago but Harry explains that this is because the military created a gag order about the incident and that knowledge of the mass murder was never made public. The event was essentially erased from history but Harry happens to know the truth of what occurred because he witnessed the horrible event with his very own eyes.
Harry noticed long ago that there was something special about the red seeds and thinks another nefarious person noticed their properties as well. He fears a dark rumor has spread abroad that if you eat the seeds and kill someone you will become immortal and that all the seeds York has collected from other crime scenes around the country have originated this town.
York thinks it’s an interesting theory but it lacks evidence as none of the apprehended killers in past red seed cases have ever mentioned anything about immortality or Greenvale.
Harry insists that York investigate the link anyway despite the lack of evidence claiming that there’s records of the mass murder of fifty years ago over at the Sheriff’s Department. Apparently the Sheriff from back then hated military and ignored the gag order and conducted his own investigation of the crime.
Harry makes yet another promise to tell York everything he knows once documents of that investigation are brought to him from the Sheriff Department.
Wait a minute…it even legal to hand over such records to a private citizen? Oh well York doesn’t seem to mind? I guess we’re heading back over the the Sheriff Department. I hope George won’t mind York digging through and removing files from his records room…

Before we head over to the Sheriff Department lets radio over to the Milk Barn and earn some more “Info Gathering” bonuses.
The Milk Barn
Speak with Richard who’s checking out for $26 then speak with Kaysen twice and ruin his joke punchline for another $52 in “Info Gathering” bonuses.
The Sheriff Department
Use the radio to warp over to the Sheriff Department then enter the green ring.
Both George and Emily think York is crazy for even believing Harry about the existence of files about a mass murder fifty years ago. York explains that he doesn’t actually believe what Harry says word for word but still wants to check and see if there’s anything there to find.
Surprisingly George gives York permission to look ordering Emily to open the file room but warns that York will have to look by himself since they are all still trying to track down Thomas.
Of course finding the files won’t be that simple and York soon finds himself in an Other World version of the Sheriff Department.

Head through the door at the end of the hall then enter a large storage room where York will try and profile the situation with little success. It appears he’ll need to find three clues before his current predicament will make sense.
Filing cabinets line the sides of the room but only three on either side can be opened as all the others are wrapped up in vines. To York’s right is a door that leads into a small room with a suitcase, tool box, phone, and bed.
Pick up [Clue #1: Broken Safe] by opening the cabinet with the red sparkles to the left. Inside there’s several drawers with dates written on them. York notices that the space with the year 1956 looks a bit too conspicuous and believes someone removed something from there.
The other two cabinets on the left side that York can open contain nothing. On the right the first cabinet York can open contains a [First Aid Kit (Medium)], the second holds a Shadow enemy, and the last one contains [10mm Auto Bullets].
With the first clue in hand head to the back and exit the room through the door on the left into another long hallway full of Shadows.
Since the door at the end of the hall is locked enter the first open door on the left. On the left side of the room is a large box with a pack of [Cigarette (Heavy)] and in the back right corner is an [Agent Honor (Red)] to collect.
Continue through the door on the right and enter an office. To the left of the desks lies an [Agent Honor (Red)] and to the right is [Clue #2: Red Seed].
Collect the clue then enter the door at the back of the office to warp back into the main hallway. Enter the door directly ahead into another large storage room.
Straight ahead along the left side wall is a box of [12 Gauge Shotgun Shells] on a shelf and a [First Aid Kit (Large)] is on another shelf in the back right corner of the room. Exit the storage room through the door at end of the hall into another storage room filled with Shadows.
Collect two [Agent Honor (Reds)] on the left and right sides of the room then examine the red sparkles on the shelf in the middle of the room to find [Clue # 3: Dried Drops of Water].
With this last clue in hand York realizes that someone has stolen the files he’s been looking for and the department returns to normal.

Emily and George are shocked when they learn of the theft when they join York in the file room. Emily declares that it is impossible for someone to just break into the room at which point George reveals that the only person who has access at any time is Thomas.
York cautions both of them that it is still too early to speculate and asks Emily to get him a fresh cup of coffee.
When Emily returns with a cup York is repulsed after just one sip. It seems Emily even lacks the skills to brew a simple cup of coffee. York even seems to find fault with the cup she used commenting that it is not the one Thomas usually brings him.
Once Emily snaps and sarcastically apologizes for messing up York claims that her coffee was perfect…well the mug at least. He holds up the mug to reveal a picture of a waterfall with the slogan “The big fish are biting at Velvet Falls” on the side. He takes this mug’s design as a sign and informs Emily and George that they need to head to Velvet Falls. as he’s convinced there’s something waiting for them there.
Emily is incredulous but George surprisingly believes that heading over to falls is actually a good idea since in feng shui a waterfall is known to be a source of power so even if there’s nothing there to find they’ll at least gain some power from the trip.
Thankful for the vote of confidence York tells them to bring fishing rods and a net.

The chapter opens with York and company already fishing at the falls behind Jim’s Cabin.
Begin by selecting a rod and a worm to fish with and try to catch the yellow box with the metal file box on it. If you catch anything else York will just shake his head throw it back.
Once the metal file box has been caught York will pull the missing documents from the water much to Emily’s disbelief.
Inside there are some documents that outline the legend of the New Raincoat Killer:
1) For eternal life and eternal power, make 4 human sacrifices on rainy nights. Each after eating the seeds.
2) Make sure the sacrificed eat the seeds too before they die.
3) The sacrificed must also not speak while they are being killed
Hmm this sounds a bit like Harry’s theory behind the motive for the other red seed killings…maybe he’s onto something?
Unfortunately upon seeing the documents George instantly recognizes the handwriting as Thomas’. Aw man… he’s missing and now his handwriting is on this bizarre list? Things sure aren’t looking good for our squirrel loving friend.
York explains to George and Emily that he needs to take theses documents to Harry so the old man will reveal everything he knows. George refuses since the documents are classified and he doesn’t want a civilian to see them…especially the “deranged old goat that owns most of the town.”
Even Emily agrees who warns York that Harry might be dangerous.
York remains undeterred however explaining that neither shouldn’t worry as they said earlier there’s never been a mass murder case in this town and by this logic it that these documents pertain to a case that’s hasn’t actually happened so they should view these documents as something that doesn’t really exist.
Basically since they’ve been both denying that there was a serial murder fifty years ago they should continue do the same regarding the investigation documents. Emily thinks it’s a ridiculous argument but George, figuring York has some sort of plan in mind, relents and gives his approval to take to files to Harry.
He’s been so agreeable lately, York’s should of have drinks with George from the get go and saved himself a lot of head butting earlier in the investigation.

If it is around 18:00 Kaysen and the twins may be leaving Jim’s cabin. Run accross the street and speak with them before they get into his truck for $56 in “Info Gathering” bonuses then head back down to the lake and chat up fisherman Jim twice for another $56.
SWERY’65
Use the radio next and warp directly to SWERY’65 and speak with Emily inside who complains to York about how much there is to do lately. York questions if she even likes her job and even compares Emily to a child not wanting to go to school. Emily accuses him of not being able to assess the situation which makes her wonder how qualified he is as a FBI Special Agent.
Real smooth York. Continue to insult the woman you like, that’ll get her to like you.
Leave Emily and bug Richard at the bar for another $56 in “Info Gathering” bonuses.
Greenvale Hospital
Radio to the hospital speak to Fiona for another $56 and then head downstairs to the autopsy room. Ushah should be standing near one of the autopsy tables looking at a microscope. Speak with him to hear him lament his lack of time to play chess due to performing three autopsies back to back.
Galaxy of Terror
Smoke until 19:00 then use the radio to warp over to the Galaxy of Terror. Speak with Carol twice for $56 in bonuses and York will unfortunately realize that with Thomas missing he can’t no longer drink at the bar since Carol refuses to serve him (lol).
With these conversations completed it is time to get a move on with our main mission. Use the radio to warp back to Harry’s mansion then step into the green ring to enter inside.

Surprisingly the mansion is dark and there’s no Michael to greet us inside time around. I have a sinking feeling we will encounter strangers of the Shadow variety during this visit…
Exit through the double doors straight ahead into a completely new section of the mansion.
Directly ahead is a grand and mysterious painting depicting six women wearing evening gowns frolicking within a wooded meadow. On closer inspection York sees that the women resemble some of the victims of the latest Greenvale murders…one even looks like Emily!
Calvary statues fall over and block the path back into the front room. It looks like there’s no turning back now let’s find Mr. Stewart and get some answers!
Head forward into the large dining area. Pick up the [First Aid Kit (Small)] on the dining table on the right and a plate of [High Quality Beef] off the table in the center of the room.
When we leave the room and approach the double doors at the end of a small alcove to the left of the creepy painting will red vines appear and block the path forward.
Shadows suddenly appear in the dining room and once all are disposed of the red vines that block the exit will recede back into the floor.
Exit the room and enter a forked hallway. Head down the path to the right and grab the [Agent Honor (Red)] at the end of the hall near the path to the left blocked by fallen calvary statues. Turn around and make the way back to the fork then follow the other path through the double doors with the red sparkles.
You’ll enter a small courtyard with a ring calvary statues and a single exit blocked by red vines. Enter the ring of statues and dispose of the armed Shadows that appear to unlock the exit.
Make a right through the door and pick up a [Turkey Sandwich] off a white chair directly behind the fallen calvary statues that had previously blocked the path to the left in the forked hallway.
Turn around and continue down the long hallway that circles behind the courtyard York just left. As you approach the end two sets of the windows will shatter.
At this point, directly to the left, is a small hallway that leads to a guest room containing a phone, sleeping spot, toolbox and suitcase for York to use. There’s also a [Bait (Knife Worm)] in the small bathroom.
Continue past the shattered windows and exit the hallway through the door at the end of the hall onto a balcony overlooking Velvet Falls with the Shadow responsible for shattering the windows earlier to his immediate right.
Head to the left disposing of any Shadows that block the path along the way and pass the entrance back into the mansion to grab the [Agent Honor (Red)] at the far end of the balcony.
Turn around and re-enter the mansion through the door we passed earlier but beware! As soon as you enter two Shadows will jump York from the right!
Once those Shadows are disposed of follow the hallway and head to the left past several calvary statues holding umbrellas. To the right of the padlocked double doors is a small alcove where a box of [5.56mm x 45 Bullets] and [.357 Magnum Bullets] lie on some of the chairs.
Destroy the padlock and enter the double doors. Turn to the left and grab another [Agent Honor (Red)] at the end of the hall by some toppled over statues. There’s another guestroom through the single door nearby if you wish to sleep, shave, change, save, etc.
Turn around and head back down the hallway and enter the double doors with the red sparkles.
Behind the doors lies the small courtyard containing the large metal grid we pushed statues on to open the door to Harry’s study earlier in the day. When you approach the exit red vines will block the door and nine Shadows will surround York. Dispose of them all to unlock the door and continue forward.
Head left down the hallway and shoot the padlock off the double doors at the end of the hall. Enter and grab a [First Aid Kit (Large)] off a chair. Since the way forward is blocked by some statues turn around and head back the way you came.
When you return to the hallway enter the small storage room with the women’s clothing through the door on the right to grab four [Agent Honor (Reds)]. If you open the white dresser you can also pick up a [First Aid Kit (Medium)] but doing so will also trigger a single Shadow to stumble into the room.
Leave the room and continue back down the long hallway. Along the way York will pass Emily clad in a red evening gown standing in a small alcove. When York calls out to her his dead father appears repeating the line about purging things that shouldn’t exist before pointing his the gun to Emily’s head. York yells for him to stop but both disappear and before the trigger is pulled.
Continue on down the hall and enter the double doors to the left into the large room overlooking the falls where York spoke to Harry earlier in the day.
Grab the [Agent Honor (Red)] at the back of the room then push the two red buttons beneath the calvary statues before the time limit expires to reveal a hidden doorway.

Follow the secret path down a long incline then enter the double doors below to find Harry waiting in some sort of command center containing shelves of books, computers, and several large screens showing various news channels and a digital world map.
York hands over the documents and demands that Harry tells him everything he knows. It’s about time we get some answers…
Harry reveals that he knows more than York thinks but less than he hopes. Harry knows that Nick is in custody, Thomas is missing, Carol has the locket that belongs to the murderer, and that the case revolves around the red seeds.
He seems to have access to FBI information as well because Harry also knows that all the victims tongues have been cut out as well. York is impressed by Harry’s information gathering skills and that he has somehow hacked the FBI’s network but says he would rather to know more about the murders fifty years ago and not the current facts of of his murder investigation.
Harry relents and we are treated to a grainy flashback of the events of the mass murder all those years ago.
It was a dark, foggy, and rainy night. Greenvale’s clocktower had just been completed and Harry, tired of hearing his normally loving parents fight, left the house and decided to sneak to the roof of the tower to take in the view of the town. However instead of a lovely view what Harry found were some gas mask wearing US soldiers releasing a large amount of purple gas over Greenvale from the top of the tower.
Frightened by the discovery Harry fled the scene as the clock tower’s bell rang an ominous thirteen times. On the streets he witnessed the townsfolk viciously attack one another with a man in a red raincoat wielding a large axe among the crowd instantly killing anyone who dared attack him.
As Harry observed the bloodbath in horror he too fell under the effects of purple gas and was unable to suppress the urge to kill everyone in sight.
Picking up a weapon Harry foolishly attacked the man in the red raincoat and discover that it was his own father beneath the hood. His father easily dodged Harry’s attack and knocked Harry unconscious. When Harry awoke hours later the rain had ceased, the purple gas was gone, and he was surrounded by dead bodies.
The next day Greenvale was overrun by military personnel and the gag order about the previous night of terror was issued. Talking about the incident became taboo and the townsfolk stopped going out when it rained. As the years passed residents soon spoke only of the killer in the red raincoat and neglected to inform their children of what really occurred that terrible night.
The purple gas the military released never went away either. It seeped into the soil and now whenever it rains in Greenvale a minute amount is released which why Harry always wears a gas mask.
Harry thinks that there’s a direct connection between the purple gas and the red seeds and believes that they share a similar effect on our nervous systems. He also convinced someone has figured out the connection and has decided to use it for nefarious purposes.
The meeting is suddenly cut short when Thomas’ picture flashes on the large screen behind Harry. It appears the others have finally tracked down the missing Sheriff’s assistant!
As York turns to leave Harry takes back everything he said and claims it was all gibberish, that he really didn’t hack the FBI server and really he knows nothing about the red seeds.
(WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK. HARRY?! Will the man ever be straight with us?!)
York doesn’t believe him however and asks what he expects in return for the information he provided. Harry only replies with Papa Morgan’s favorite line about purging things that shouldn’t exist.
York angrily retorts that it doesn’t justify murder and even takes a menacing step towards the old man. The chapter ends with a warning from Harry that everything changes in form as nothing can contain its shape for all eternity and if York overlooks this fact he’ll make a big mistake.
I don’t know what all that means but I fear things are not boding well for York or any of his friends…

Just as York exits the front gates of Harry’s mansion Emily pulls up in her SUV and breathlessly informs him that Thomas has been located then surrenders the wheel and urges York hurry over to the scene.
Drive across town via January Way then enter the green ring in Greenvale Apartments parking lot. Failing to reach the apartments before the 23:30 will result in the Raincoat Killer axing York (and maybe Emily?) on the side of the road.
Once York and Emily arrive on the scene George explains that they learned of Thomas’ return home thanks to an anonymous call to the department and that he spotted Thomas’ silhouette briefly in the window.
York tells George and Emily to wait outside per usual and enters the apartment alone to profile the scene. He’ll need to find three clues in the apartment to properly assess the situation but thankfully Thomas’s home is rather small so finding these clues shouldn’t take York very long.
Head through door left of the entrance into Thomas’ bathroom and pick up an [Agent Honor (Red)] by the toilet then use the mirror to shave if needed.
Return to the main room and open the cabinet next to the full length mirror to pick up [Trading Card No. 57 (Thomas’ Biscuit)] then take [Clue #1: Red Wig] off the mannequin in the corner to the left.
In the center of the room is a table with a phone to save and if you take a close look at Thomas’ nightstand you can observe a cute photo Thomas and Carol holding hands as children.
A suitcase for York to change is located by the back window. I highly suggest changing into the “Dancing All Night” suit at this time if you aren’t already wearing it since the extra stamina will come in handy for a long run coming up during the next chapter.
Open the fridge in the kitchen and pick up a piece of [Cherry Pie] then head through the back door and enter Carol’s messy apartment.
Pick up another [Agent Honor (Red)] by the kitchen sink and observe the sparkles by the back window to pick up [Clue #2: Wet Boot Prints].
Open Carol’s fridge for a cup of [Coffee (Black)] and steal a pack of [Cigarette (Heavy)] and a [Lollipop] off her dining table. Enter the bathroom by the front door and find [Clue #3: Thomas’ shoes] in the bathtub.
With these clues in hand York sees that Thomas received a visit from the Raincoat Killer with what appears to be the files stolen from the Sheriff’s Department record room under his arm. During this visit Thomas donned a red dress, heels and a wig and entertained the killer as he lounged on his couch as well. It appears that the killer and Thomas are friends maybe? Given that we fished those files from the river just a few hours ago this means the visit must have happened much earlier in the day or the night before. Did Thomas help the killer get rid of the files or is there something else going on here? If only we could hear was discussed!
Emily and George rush into the room with their guns raised after Thomas’ bedside lamp shatters suddenly. Upon realizing Thomas isn’t actually within the apartment George exclaims that all routes out of town should be sealed off but York isn’t worried and is convinced Thomas won’t leave town.

Emily and George rush off to their respective cars then drive off leaving York alone outside Thomas’ apartment. It seems York’s assurance that Thomas won’t leave town has fallen on deaf ears.
Enter one of the patrol cars then drive towards the Galaxy of Terror via January Way as all side streets have now been blocked by red vines. Shadows will pop out of the street along the way but you can easily kill them by running them over with the car.
As the car approaches A & G Diner York will slam on the brakes when he spots Anna standing in the street then takes off on foot to follow her through the rain.
Chasing Anna
Anna takes a meandering path to the Galaxy of Terror so be ready to dodge a bunch of Shadows and Mad Wild Birds for while:
York barely escapes an ax swing from the Raincoat Killer upon reaching the Galaxy of Terror and then barely dodges another axe throw by the killer when he bolts inside the bar. Luckily the doors lock soon after York enters giving the agent a moment to catch his breath.

To the left of the front door is a toolbox, a phone to save, and a couch if York needs to catch up on some sleep.
Continue forward towards the the bar with the record player at the back of the room disposing of the Shadows along the way. Once York reaches the record player he will begin to profile and reveal that two clues must be found make sense of this new situation.
Pick up a [Country Ham] off one of the small tables to the right and a can of [Root Beer] from behind the bar then exit the room through the door to the left.
Pass through a short hallway into a large room full of mannequins and dressing tables. Vines grow from the floor as soon as York enters and block the path to turn back so he must continue forward and enter the red door on the right side of the room.
Upon entering the next room the Raincoat Killer attacks (hey how did he get inside?). Run, push boxes, and evade axe throws through several rooms until York enters another side door that temporarily locks the killer out of the room.
Hide under the dressing table or in the back cabinet with the red sparkles before the Raincoat Killer bursts into the room and be ready to hold York’s breath when his hiding spot is approached.
Eventually the Raincoat Killer gives up the game of hide and seek and leaves the room through a red side door. Exit the hiding spot and backtrack through the door the Raincoat Killer broke through to collect five [Agent Honor (Red)] then turn around and follow the Raincoat Killer through the red side door back in the hiding room.
Follow open doorways through four more rooms filled with dressing tables and mannequins (these can be destroyed for some extra [Agent Honor (Blue)]) then enter the red door in the back of the fourth room into a long and dark hallway lined with more mannequins.
When York is midway down the hall he must evade the Raincoat Killer’s surprise attack from a small alcove to the left.
The Raincoat Killer will then run away and exit through the red door at the end of the hall. Destroy the mannequins without the red vines for some extra [Agent Honor (Blue)] then follow the killer through the door into a large bathroom filled with stalls.
The door in the back of the room is locked at the moment so enter the broken stall to the left of the door and peep through a hole with the sparkles into another stall and see Thomas’ bloody badge pinned up on a wall. A Shadow will also walk by and break down the stall door.
Leave the stall, dispose of the two Shadows now wandering in the room, and pick up [Clue #1: Thomas’ Sheriff Badge] from the stall the Shadow had forced opened earlier. With this first clue in had the door in back will automatically unlock.
Exit the bathroom into a long hallway and defeat the Crawling Shadow that appears to continue forward. At the T-junction head to the left and destroy a stack of small boxes to grab some [Agent Honor (Blue)] and a [Stabilizer] then continue down the hall to the right. Exit through the door at the end of the hall after defeating three more Crawling Shadows and a pair of Armed Shadows.
In the next room there’s a locked door lit with a blue and yellow spot light with two switches on either sides of the room. To York’s left is a toolbox, phone, and a record player with a can of [Root Beer] resting on top. To York’s right there is also a couch to sleep on and suitcase. Collect the two [Agent Honor (Reds)] and unlock the door by hitting the left switch twice and the right switch once to turn both spot lights hitting the door red.
Exit the room into another long hall lined with mannequins. Midway down the hall enter the small alcove to the right to grab an [Agent Honor (Red)] then enter the small alcove to the left and destroy the large boxes for a [First Aid Kit (Small)]. Exit through the door at the end of the hall and enter into a large storage room.
After you turn the first corner and crawl over some boxes you’ll see two shadows step out from behind some shelves on either side of the path. Kill both Shadows then head down each of the small alcoves the Shadows came from and pick up three [Agent Honor (Reds)] and a [First Aid Kit (Medium)].
Return to the main path and make a right at the next junction to pick up a [Saber] then turn and exit the room through the door at the back of the room.
In the next storage room kill any Shadows and destroy any large boxes that block the your path forward (one of these large boxes contains a [Can of Pickles]) then exit through door at the back of the room.
After you turn the corner in the next storage room destroy the boxes that block the path forward to grab some [5.56mm x 45 Bullets] then head to the left to and exit through the door into yet another storage room.
This storage room is ominously a bit darker than all the previous ones. Continue moving forward through the room until the Raincoat Killer bursts through a side door.
Evade all the Raincoat Killer’s attacks through two more storage rooms until York enters a third storage room filled with fire and Shadows. Red vines grow from the ground and blocks the entrance behind York so the Raincoat Killer thankfully cannot follow.
Head around a corner and destroy any Shadows and boxes that block the way. When you reach the left side of the room turn grab the [Agent Honor (Red)] to the left then turn around and continue forward around another corner to exit the room through the door in the far right corner of the room.
Directly ahead of York is a phone if you wish to save. Step up onto the stage to the right side of the room and pick up [Clue #2: Wooden Ice Pick] off the piano and see of vision of someone using the pick on a deer’s head to open a secret door behind the bar.
With this last clue in hand some vines on the left side of the room recede back into the ground revealing a path to a door with some red sparkles. Once York starts down the path towards the door the Raincoat Killer re-appears. Evade his attack surprise attack then run directly through the red sparkle into a dark and thankfully normal version of the Galaxy of Terror.

York immediately enters the door behind the bar. Stick the wooden ice pick into the deer head to unlock door and a reveal staircase that leads into a secret S & M dungeon beneath the bar.
The red curtained room is sparsely furnished with a lone leather arm chair and record player taking center stage with whips, masks, ball gags, and suggestive photos hanging from walls. There’s a large bloody(?!) cage suspended from the ceiling to York’s right and an intimidating iron maiden lies open at a the back of the room.
After taking the room in York spots the locket Carol took from Diane on mannequin decked in some leather lingerie off to the side. When he picks it up and declares that the killer is exactly who he thought it was Thomas, decked out in a red gown, wig and boa, appears silently behind and knocks York out with the butt of his gun.
And just where was he hiding when York entered?! Was he up in the bar area? Man, he moves like a ninja!
Well at least finally found Thomas guys… it’s just too bad that York is now at his mercy within this creepy room.
